The Day in Sports- September 18, 2010

To Persevere: to persist in anything undertaken; maintain a purpose in spite of difficulty, obstacles, or discouragement; continue steadfastly. That's exactly what our Mustang Cross Country runners did this Saturday at the Nike Holly Invitational through less then ideal weather conditions.

Girls Cross Country:
Took 7th out of 23 teams at the Nike-Holly Invitational this Saturday in the torrential downpour.

"It's raining cats and dogs out here!" exclaimed Senior Alayna Brandt after she finished running through the hilly, muddy course.
Boys Cross Country:
Took 11th place at the Nike-Holly Invitational.

"Running in the cold in the rain, it's just another Saturday." Stated senior Paul Hoerner.

Varsity Volleyball:
Tied for 3rd place this weekend at the Capac Tournament.

" Overall we were proud of how we played, we had some really great moments, we just have to keep up our intensity and enthusiasm up to shake off our mistakes and I think we will do even better" said senior Katelynn Barszczowski.

The Day in Sports: September 16, 2010

0:24...0:20...0:15...0:10....0:05....as the clock winds down you see what you are truly made of during a game. As the clock wound down on JV football they found that they just didn't have enough to push through for a victory against Notre Dame Prep.

Junior Varsity Football:

Lutheran North: 0
Notre Dame Prep: 48

"We just didn't get the job done." sighed player Jonah T.
